Learning agile leapfrogging skills
Our learner-centered curriculum is designed for learners to acquire and develop skills in digital fabrication and technologies for small-scale manufacturing. Creative project-based learning and the integration of local knowledge are the cornerstones of our learning experience to ensure real-world success for our learners and alumni.
Tools, materials, technology, inspiring peers. All you need to grow! In our campuses, built with sustainable architecture, open 24/7.
A glimpse into our curriculum
The Kabakoo Learning Experience is based on self-learning and the exchanges with peers happening during collaborative project work. Guided learning time is divided into theoretical sessions facilitated by professionals and experts, workshops, immersion tours to explore surrounding communities and organizations, and in some cases internships at local companies. Learners’ progress along the modules is not linear but rather iterative and interconnected. Here are some of our modules.
Since our launch in July 2018, we have trained more than 530 learners in future-oriented competencies for digital and decentralized manufacturing through our blended learning model. 81% of our learners have previously completed university studies but choose to come to Kabakoo because university does not give them locally actionable competencies.
“The campus and the workshops are open 24/7, with all the tools we need; and we don’t have to pay anything upfront. Just learn and believe in us. Kabakoo shows us that we all can be heroes.”
Adama B., learner at the Bamako Campus
“There is no project crazy enough at Kabakoo. Since I come to Kabakoo, I feel like everything is possible and that I can really make a difference.”
Djeneba K., learner at the Bamako Campus
“Kabakoo is an amazing experience. In one week at Kabakoo, I have learned more than in one year at the university!”
Daouda S., learner at the Bamako Campus
“Kabakoo knows how to turn students with no prior knowledge into rapid prototyping talents.”
Marlène Amegankpoe, Executive Director of SCS International, a West-African leading agrobusiness
“I had to stop university because of lack of money. Now, thanks to Kabakoo I am learning state-ofthe-art tech and how to use it for my community.”
Ousmane K., learner and peer-facilitator at the Bamako Campus
